FAQ
Common questions about bit.ctrl.
Which cameras does bit.ctrl support?
Sony Venice 1 and Venice 2 today, with more platforms planned. See Supported Cameras.
Do bitbox owners get a discount on bit.ctrl?
Yes, email [email protected] and we will send you a discount code for the App Store. The discount is limited to one Apple ID per customer.
Apple does not allow special discounts to be renewable, so we will email you a new code as the end of your subscription approaches. You will need to cancel your current subscription and sign up for a new one with the new code. We know this is annoying, but unfortunately it's all they allow.
Does bit.ctrl work on both iPad and Mac?
Yes. Most features are identical; a few interactions differ (long-press on iPad vs. right-click on Mac).
Do I need a separate license for iPad and Mac?
No, your single app store bit.ctrl license works with all devices on your Apple ID.
Can I control more than one camera at a time?
Yes. See Multi-Camera.
How do I move my setup to another device?
Use Backup & Restore. Note that camera passwords are not included in backups and must be re-entered.
Can I use a Stream Deck?
Yes, via the Bitfocus Companion module. See Companion / Stream Deck.
Why is a widget greyed out / missing for my camera?
Some controls only apply to certain cameras. See Supported Cameras.
What do I do if a camera won't connect?
See Connection Issues.
Do you take feature requests?
Always. Please email [email protected]
