Connection Issues

What to check when a camera won't connect or keeps dropping.

Camera won't connect

  1. Confirm the device and camera are on the same network/subnet.
  2. Verify the camera's IP address in Settings → Cameras.
  3. Re-enter the username/password (passwords are not restored from backups).
  4. Confirm the camera's network/control settings. See the hardware Camera Configurations.

Camera not discovered

Subnet based camera discovery is a work-in-progress and may not always work depending on your particular network configuration.
