Companion / Stream Deck
bit.ctrl includes a Bitfocus Companion module for controlling cameras from a Stream Deck, Loupedeck, X-Keys, or Companion's web UI.

bit.ctrl Setup
- Open bit.ctrl on your iPad or Mac.
- Go to Settings → Companion to find the device's IP address and port (default
9120).
Companion Setup / Module Install
- Download the bit.ctrl Companion plugin from https://cdn.bitpart.com/ctrl/bitcontrol-latest.tgz
- Install the plugin by opening the Companion GUI and clicking
Modules -> Import Module Package - Add a bit.ctrl connection and enter the host and port.
Actions
- Record Toggle, EI Step, Shutter Step/Preset, ND Step, WB Preset, Macro, User Button, Lock Toggle.
- All camera actions support multi-select for linked control across cameras.
Rotary Encoders
bit.ctrl Companion plugin includes support for rotary encoders. Current avilable rotary actions are:
- Shutter
- White Balance Temp/Tint
- EI
- ND
Each rotary action includes fine/coarse/preset modes.
Feedback
Currently available Companion Feedbacks include:
- Recording (red background), Connected (green), Disconnected (red).
Variables
- Per-camera live variables: timecode, clip name, EI, shutter, WB, ND, camera letter, FPS, playback status.
- Use them on button labels, e.g.
$(bitcontrol:a_cam_timecode).
