Backup & Restore
Export your full bit.ctrl setup to a file and restore it later or on another device.
Sync to iCloud Drive
If you enable this setting, your created layouts and macros will be synced automatically to iCloud Drive and made available on all of your devices.
Full settings backup
Export all settings to a JSON file (Bit-Control-Presets.json), including:
- Shutter presets and mode settings
- White balance presets
- Widget layouts and tab configurations
- Camera configurations
warning
Camera passwords are excluded from backups for security. Re-enter them after restoring. See Cameras.
Import the same file to restore.
Layout-only export/import
Widget layouts can be exported and imported on their own (JSON), separate from a full backup. Useful for sharing a layout without sharing camera or preset data. Also available from Tabs & Layouts.
Macro export/import
Macros have their own export format, separate from app settings, with a camera-remapping step on import. See Macros.
